ABOUT US
Welcome to the Southern Association of Health Professions Deans at Academic Health Centers (SAHPD/AHC). Established as a nonprofit organization, SAHPD/AHC serves as a platform for chief allied health executive officers from academic health centers in the Southern region to come together, collaborate, and take collective action in the name of the Association. Our members represent a diverse array of health professions, including but not limited to, allied health, nursing, pharmacy, and public health.
OUR COMMITMENT
At SAHPD/AHC, we are committed to fostering excellence, innovation, and inclusivity in health professions education. We provide opportunities for professional development, networking, and knowledge exchange through our meetings, workshops, and other educational activities. We also strive to promote the advancement of health professions education through advocacy, research, and collaboration with other stakeholders in the healthcare field.
TRANSPARENCY
As an organization, SAHPD/AHC operates in a benevolent, educational, and scientific manner, without monetary profit to its organizers or members. We are guided by our by-laws and a dedicated board of directors, which includes the Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and two at-large members. We also have emeritus membership for retired individuals who have made significant contributions to the Association. Join us in our mission to advance health professions education and practice in the Southern region.
